BEADING ACROSS AMERICA: Jewelry Inspirations from Coast to Coast (Kalmbach Publishing, Spring 2011) by Paulette Baron, Amy Katz and Sherry Serafini

This beautiful book will be available in April 2011. It is filled with 30 projects from some of the most talented designers, students and enthusiasts of beads in our country.  Each artist represents their home  state and presents a project for you  to try (and wait until you see the projects they are amazing!).  The book includes projects for beaders of all skill levels but primarily focuses on the intermediate beader. ON THE ROAD

Bead & Button 2011

I am proud to be part of 2011 Bead & Button faculty.  This year, I will be teaching six classes including:  The Serpentine Twist Necklace, The Victorian Serenade Necklace, Tennis with a Twist Bracelet, Davida’s Dream, The Wonder Wheel and the Pearl Pizzazz Ring.  Five of the projects are brand new.  You can check out photos of the projects at www.beadjourney.com

The title of the book is now official. This project book will feature 30 seed bead artists from across the country. Artists include Carol Wilcox Wells, NanC Meinhardt, Diane Fitzgerald, Laura McCabe, Huib Petersen and many more.  Each artist is a representative of their state. In addition to projects of all levels from beginner to advanced, Beading Across Americawill give readers a taste of how artists are inspired by the places where they reside.

The authors are currently working on book edits, and the projects are truly amazing. As far as we know, this is the first attempt to tie quality seed bead artists together as one nation.  Stay tuned for more.
